Tiimo is a daily planner and learning platform designed by and for the neurodivergent community (people with ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, and beyond). An estimated 20% of the global population (1.6 billion people) is neurodivergent and often faces systemic barriers that prevent them from leading meaningful lives. Tiimo is dedicated to changing that by creating tools to help people thrive with the brains they have.

About the Role

As our backend developer, you need to be an excellent hands-on developer and a team player. You will report to and work closely with our Senior Backend Developer (a fantastic person!). Together, you will manage our backend, guide us in terms of data security, and support our design and frontend teams in building new fantastic product features. We are building everything in-house, and you will be a part of a great, friendly, and ambitious 10-person strong Tech and Product team based in Copenhagen. This is a hybrid role, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.


In this role, you will together with our Senior Backender...

  • Ensure that our backend systems are stable and scalable. To succeed in this, you will decide on the right technological path, and implement your solutions. ****This is to make sure that our platform can support the plans on the roadmap - in terms of business, user, and development needs.

  • Be security responsible. Ensure that our data handling remains compliant and that our users’ data is safe.

  • Own our services, from development to deployment and hosting, while observing that it is performant.

  • Be responsible for some of our system integrations.

  • Be a main part of designing and delivering future product development. A few highlights on our product roadmap are

    • Improved offline functionality

    • Building a mood tracking feature to help users better understand how their energy levels fluctuate

    • Developing a web and / or desktop vesion of the app to make it even easier for parents to help their kids use Tiimo

  • You are a detail-oriented problem-solver with good communication skills. We need you to own your own domain and assist in refining new features for our products and we believe that building great software requires great communication and compassion.

  • You thrive in an international and inclusive environment. We are a team from many different nationalities. English is our working language.

  • You are a skilled .NET developer

  • You have extensive programming experience with C#.

  • You have security and stability at the front of your mind.

  • Additional “nice to have” experience includes:

    • Experience with frontend development.

    • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines

    • Experience with Unit/Integration tests

    • Experience from similar sized startup / scaleup.


The key components of our stack includes…

  • .NET 8 / C#

  • MS SQL

  • Hosting in Azure.

  • Native apps. For iOS, written in Swift, where we are transitioning into writing UI in SwiftUI. For Android, written in Kotlin. Firebase for crash reporting.

  • Webflow. This is for our current website.

  • Strapi (CMS)

  • Modern work tools. Linear for issue tracking, Github and Azure DevOps as source control, Sentry and Firebase for error reporting, Mixpanel / Metabase for analytics, Slack for internal communication, Figma for design, and Notion as a knowledge base. Your choice of Mac or Windows hardware.
