CTO & Founder at Early Stage Startup

Salary Unpaid
Equity To be negotiated

Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Early Stage Startup

We are an early-stage tech startup with an initial focus on helping Revenue Operations (RevOps) & go-to-market teams. Having secured our initial pre-seed funding earlier this year and recently been selected to participate in the competitive & merit based Danish innovation fund incubator program, we are now preparing to launch our MVP.

Our team consists of two international co-founders, located in the Nordics. One of us is coming from a RevOps background with over a decade experience and the other one comes from a finance and corporate strategy background. Both founders have worked in startups and scaleups with a proven track record. We love to get things done, are facing a great opportunity to build a valuable business, and now need the technical muscle to move fast and realise our commercial aspirations.

Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for an ambitious technical founder to join our team. This is a key role which will take full ownership of our tech development and requires the ability to act as a sparring partner to the co-founders in order to build the business. The successful candidate will have a strong willingness to roll up their sleeves, with a proven ability to not only develop a technology stack from (almost) scratch, but drive innovation and ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable and secure. Prior knowledge of RevOps & GTM subject matter is not required.

We’re super early stage, so no day will be the same….but here’s an idea of what sort of activities are expected in the role:

  • Build, build, build…. You are the engineering team for now.

  • Collaborate closely with the co-founders to understand product expectations and deliverables, translating them into tangible technical outcomes.

  • Lead the development and technical implementation of our product, ensuring it meets expectations of our users…always keeping a product first approach.

  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of our technology infrastructure.

  • We’re an early stage startup, so while the above is a guide, flexibility, willingness to adapt and being comfortable to work with uncertainty is a must.

A good fit would include the following:

  • A background in Full stack development, including Python (Django) and hands-on experience working with AI technologies.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching technology products (in a startup environment is a big plus).

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (and have patience in the process :)).

  • Straightforward, humble and professional

  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a focus on making things work!

Again, the above is a guide… finding the right personality is more important to us than years of experience or senior job titles.

What do we offer:

  • This is a co-founder role so equity is a large part of the conversation. This will be subject to a probationary & vesting period.

  • We’re early in our journey and limited in funding, therefore cash remuneration will be limited and considered as part of the bigger runway picture.

  • Opportunity to own and direct a digital product roadmap in a growing market space (RevOps!).

  • Working with two highly motivated co-founders with diverse experiences.

  • We are remote first (but being located in the Nordics would be advantageous)

If you are a driven techie and this role overview resonates with you, we want to hear from you!

Working at
Jurnie

At Jurnie, we revolutionise the tedious and time-consuming manual process of updating systems with unstructured data, freeing up teams and transforming data into valuable insights. Initially we are focusing on streamlining CRM updates post-customer interactions. Through conversations with over 50 businesses — from small startups to large enterprises — we discovered that teams frequently use platforms like Slack, Excel, Teams, Notepad, or Google Docs for note-taking. Teams work where they want to work, but this often leads to frustration, omissions and errors getting CRMs updated. Our innovative solution integrates with the client's existing tech stack, utilising AI to extract unstructured data from these various mediums and seamlessly update CRM records from where teams are already working. By prioritising efficiency, reducing update time, and enhancing data accuracy through AI-driven automation, we make administrative tasks simpler and more reliable. This is just the beginning. Our ambitions are to expand and accommodate more sources of unstructured data and destinations for structured data. With preliminary technical feasibility confirmed and use-case validation from future users, Jurnie is poised to transform data management processes.
