Electronics intern

Salary Unpaid

We are seeking one or two electronic engineering student interns or projects focused on designing an advanced motor control PCB for robotic applications!

  • The board must be able to drive multiple DC motors using an H-bridge, with individually controlled voltage regulators for speed control. As well as drive three phase DC motors with PWM to allow bi-directional control.

  • The motor control board will interface with a microcontroller for centralized control, including the development of a reliable communication protocol. Additionally, the circuitry will have to interface with several inputs from the system. Feedback from Hall effect sensors for real time motor position, must be managed by a microprocessor. This includes filtering and signal conditioning to ensure reliable sensor readings.

  • The circuit board will have to feature integrated inductive proximity end-stop sensors to precisely detect and signal the mechanical boundaries of motor movement, ensuring safe and accurate operation within defined limits.

This project offers the opportunity to design and develop sophisticated motor control electronics, integrating various components and technologies to achieve a versatile and efficient solution for real-world robotic systems. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced start-up environment. In addition, you will have the chance to create a solution that will be implemented and utilized in real-world robotic applications.
