Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Sales & Operations Lead as a member of the core team to drive business development, sales support, and logistics management across Europe and Japan. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and operations management, a deep understanding of international business practices, and a passion for the sustainability and e-mobility industry.

What would they do?

As the main driver behind the global presence of a challenger start-up brand, this role means wearing multiple hats, sometimes at the same time.

Business Development:

• Identify and analyze new market opportunities in Europe, Japan, China and potentially Oceania.

• Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand Kuiperbelt’s presence in these regions.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and industry partners.

Sales Support:

• Provide technical and product expertise to support key clients.

• Develop sales tools, presentations, and collateral to assist in the sales process.

• Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction through effective operations management.

Logistics Management:

• Oversee the end-to-end shipment process; work closely with Logistics Specialist to optimize global supply chain movement, inventory management, and distribution.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and customs requirements.

Risk Management & Budgeting:

• Assess and mitigate operational risks, including supply chain disruptions, currency fluctuations, and geopolitical issues.

• Develop and manage the operational budget for the regions; provide accurate sales and operational forecasts to support strategic planning.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing and QC, and finance, to align operations with overall business objectives.

What are the expectations?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

• A minimum of five years of progressive experience in operations management, with a focus on international business operations.

• Proven track record in business development and sales support within related industry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of the organization.

• Proficiency in English and Chinese Mandarin is a must. Additional language skills in European and/or Japanese languages a plus.

• Legally eligible to work in the EU; we unfortunately cannot sponsor work permit for this role.
