Mercive is a fast-growing Shopify e-commerce agency based in Copenhagen. We are the right match if you are interested in joining a team that is always looking to push boundaries and solve business problems through design, technology, and strategy.  

The Role  

Along with the team of developers, you will be working on e-commerce projects where the tech stack varies depending on the project, but we currently focus on Remix.js/NextJS for headless projects and Liquid, HTML, CSS for native Shopify projects.

You will work in a fast-pace e-commerce environment where the opportunities for personal and professional growth are endless.

Responsibilities  

• Develop projects, features and improvements in a performant and well-tested way

• Work with project management team and other stakeholders (Backend, UX, etc.) to create new projects and features.

• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment.

• Consistently ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members.

• Collaborate with the team on larger projects.

• Contribute to and follow our workflow process, alongside the rest of the development team.

• Advocate for improvements to project quality and performance that have particular impact across your team.

• Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.

• Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate developers to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers.

Qualifications  

• Professional experience with NextJS or RemixJS or another modern JavaScript web framework (Vue, Angular, Ember, etc.)

• 4 years of professional working experience

• Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment

• A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts

• Experience with e-commerce and Shopify is preferable

• Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems

• Positive and solution-oriented mindset

• Self-motivated and self-managing, with great organizational skills.
