The role

We are now hiring for a seasoned Senior Product Designer for our Design team. Can you plan, facilitate and design complete product experiences in a face-paced startup environment? Are you experienced building from sequential design features, attaching components rightfully and setting our engineering team up for success? If you see yourself as more than a graphic designer with fine touch, but someone who cares for and knows how to deliver product features, scopes in adherence to our roadmap agreements and also facilitate deadline management across design and engineering? Then, you might be the Sr. Product Designer I we are looking for.

Day to day at Shouter

You’ll lead design for product

Manage and drive the product vision into Product Design and thereby Engineering. Work closely with design, engineers and co-founders Adam and Simon, both know that you’re responsible, the leader of momentum and accountable for timely handoffs, day to day deliverables and precise roadmap management that ties into fundraising. Deliver on incremental steps to help the team head in this direction.

You’re hands-on designing UX and UI.

You’ll be responsible for design artefacts produced from initial discovery and user journey mapping through to the execution of final UI design details. Meaning, you’re not to fine to get your hands dirty and smooshy. Maintaining consistency across platforms and surfaces by leveraging the design language and patterns of Shouter, is something that intrigues you.

You’ll deeply understand the Shouters and Doers you’re designing for.

Whether it’s leading, facilitating or joining user research sessions, Support tickets or reading data reports or running your own lightweight research and analysis, you’ll strive to understand the what, why and how of the problems you’re solving.

You’ll collaborate hard using strong communication and facilitation skills.

You’ll work closely with Designers, Engineers and Founders to make sure Product Design at Shouter isn’t just shipping good looking designs, but are deeply involved throughout the process.

You’ll help raise the bar for design at Shouter.

You are motivated by playing a central role when it comes to building high performance design, flatter it into Engineering and be a vital teamplayer helping Shouter to be a better place to be. Present work in a range of mediums and fidelities throughout the design process. Give and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise our bar for quality.

This isn’t for you if:

If you need top-down directions on a daily to weekly frequency. You’re expected to determine the highest impact areas to work on, collaborating with your team and founders to ensure alignment regarding roadmap expectations. The team is always there for support, but we will be looking to you to lead with confidence.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience

• Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods

• Experience working and collaborating in a tech environment

• A portfolio showing your high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building products for mobile apps

• A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field

• Experience working with user experience researchers and various methods of research and user testing

• Experience designing experiments or A/B testing

• Experience building design systems and implementing systems components with engineers
