Seasony is a venture-backed robotics startup. We believe that mobile robotics automation is the key to unlocking the massive potential of vertical farming. Our goal is to enable vertical farming to be profitable, scalable, and efficient by developing the autonomous mobile robot Watney, tailored to meet the requirements of modern indoor farms.
Seasony was recently awarded an innovation grant to develop computer vision models to detect germination and disease in vertical farms.
For the Fall, we are looking for an intern within computer vision to support the project's progress. In this internship you will work closely with our co-founder and Chief Technology and Innovation Officer (CTIO), Servet Coskun to develop the computer vision models in this grant.
In-office, hybrid or remote working models are possible.
Participate in the selection of appropriate models for the task.
Handle the labeling and annotation of image data sets.
Assist in the training and validation of machine learning models.
Develop methods for image stitching to enhance model performance.
A student currently enrolled in a program related to Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar field, seeking an internship as part of their academic curriculum.
A proactive self-starter capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Strong skills in working with image data, and experience in machine learning and computer vision.
Familiarity with Python, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
