Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead specializing in backend development and architecture to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our Business Support System (BSS). As a Technical Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction and strategy for our BSS platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:

As a backend developer with us, you'll be responsible for providing technical leadership, ensuring that our projects adhere to best practices, coding standards, and meet project requirements. You'll take the lead in architectural design, making informed decisions on technology stack, scalability, and performance. Your active participation in backend development will involve taking ownership of critical components, APIs, and databases.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you'll play a crucial role in mentoring team members, fostering their continuous learning and professional development. Collaboration with stakeholders is key as you translate business requirements into technical solutions. You'll drive the adoption of new technologies, continuously improving our development processes.

Your role also includes conducting code reviews, offering feedback to maintain high code quality and scalability. Effective communication with cross-functional teams is essential, providing regular updates on progress and solutions. Taking ownership of project timelines, you'll ensure milestones are met within budget.

Leading by example, you'll demonstrate a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation in both leadership and hands-on backend coding.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, we're looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Your experience as a Tech Lead and your ability to effectively manage a team will be highly valued. With a minimum of five years of experience in backend development, you'll bring a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Your expertise in cloud platform environments and database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL databases, will be essential for success. You should have a strong understanding of data modeling for complex systems and experience with Infrastructure as a code (IaaC) and large system architecture.

Familiarity with microservices architecture, API design, and RESTful services is crucial. Your excellent English communication skills will enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

While experience with the Shape-up agile development methodology is a plus, it's not a requirement. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments will set you apart. Experience with telecom BSS systems would be beneficial but is not mandatory.


Location:

Europe - Remote with optional occasional travel to join the team in Stockholm.
