SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (4 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!

We're seeking an Animation Intern to enrich our animation team at Subway Surfers. As an essential part of our creative force, you'll dive into the heart of mobile game animation, crucial for player engagement and game success. This internship is your gateway to understanding animation's role in the gaming industry, blending hard work with the passion for gaming.

Collaborate with engineers, artists, and developers, bringing unique animation skills to the forefront of our projects. Your creativity and initiative will help shape our journey, offering insights and solutions to push us forward.

This internship is unpaid and full-time running for the fall semester in 2024.

Your time at SYBO

In your ramp-up month - Upon joining, you'll be introduced to our team, gain an understanding of our games, and immerse yourself in SYBO's core values. Your initial assignment involves creating a brief, basic animation, providing you with a hands-on opportunity to familiarize yourself with our workflow in a supportive setting and showcase your skill level.

In your contributor months - Your primary focus will be crafting animations for our Character Menu. This involves weaving unique narratives for your character under the guidance of your Lead. You'll organize brainstorming sessions, understand industry time management, and guide your character from the initial story concept through to animation and direct implementation into our game. 

Responsibilities

• Developing unique narratives for your characters

• Producing top-notch animations for our Character Menu

• Guiding your characters through to implementation within Unity

• Additionally, you'll support the Art Team by designing poses for promotional materials and marketing purposes as required

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of the 12 principles of animation

• Demonstrated expertise in body mechanics

It is a requirement to be enrolled in a university program that supports a full-time internship as part of the education - and you need to be able to commute to our Copenhagen office on a daily basis.

We do not offer relocation, VISA, or house search assistance for internships.
