Role overview: 

Senior backend developer to own the full backend of Alice and be the link between all digital elements of Alice

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3rd party integrations, e.g. for payments and email verification & notification

• Lead the implementation of new user-facing features, as well as internal, including automated releases, GitHub configuration, and formatting in typed Python

• Ensuring reliability of critical features such as privacy, customer accounts and processed payments, and more

• Create and manage infrastructure for nightly aggregates, A/B testing, nudging automation, and BI and motivational practice stats analysis

• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of development, testing, and production environments, including CI/CD practices

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of backend development experience, with a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Proven leadership in feature development, with a strong background in working with Python and web technologies (e.g., FastAPI & SQLalchemy)

• Expertise in maintaining infrastructure, relating to: CI/CD, GitHub, cloud providers, ensuring code quality for Python (mypy & pydantic)

• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including infrastructure automation and monitoring
