We are looking for a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer intern to join our team. Evvent is an ambitious and innovative startup in the early stages, with a vision to become the leading marketplace for Muslim-friendly event services. Our goal is to revolutionize the event planning industry by providing a platform that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusivity, and delivers exceptional customer experiences.

As a WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and customizing WordPress websites for our event platform. You will work closely with our tech team to implement front-end features and ensure the seamless integration of design and functionality. We seek candidates who are passionate about WordPress development, have a strong command of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and are eager to contribute to our fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and customize WordPress websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Collaborate with the design and development teams to implement front-end features and enhancements.
Ensure the responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility of WordPress websites.
Optimize website performance and user experience.
Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain website functionality.
Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and best practices.

Requirements:

Proven experience in WordPress development, including customizing themes and plugins.
Experience in working with Page builders such as WPBakery and Elementor
Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Good communication skills in written and spoken English.

Bonus

Experience with WordPress REST API is preferred.
