Walking for Water is seeking a dedicated Fundraising Manager to join our Sponsorship Group. As a nonprofit organization that provides clean water solutions in developing countries, we rely on volunteers to help fulfill our mission.

About Fundraising Manager Role

In this role, you will work with our Sponsor Group to manage and develop fundraising processes.

A successful candidate will have strong leadership and fundraising experience. Experience in the third sector is a plus, but not a requirement.

We are looking for a person who has excellent communication and negotiation skills and can drive and develop our fundraising efforts successfully. 

Your work will directly impact our operations as we rely on raised funds to fulfill our mission to establish clean water access in African communities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector.

• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of grant writing and application processes.

• Proficiency in using fundraising software and online platforms.

• Degree in General Management, Non-profit Management, Business, or other related field is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent in English. Fluency in Danish is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to set and meet financial goals.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and partners.

• Research and apply for applicable grants and funding opportunities.

• Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns.

• Collaborate with the other working groups to create compelling content for fundraising campaigns.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts.

• Maintain accurate records of donors, sponsors, and fundraising activities.

• Provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the Board.

Additional Information

Please note, that no monetary compensation is provided with this position. Walking for Water is a 100 % volunteer-run NGO. 

However, you will gain valuable fundraising and NGO management experience. More importantly, you can make a big difference in communities lacking safe drinking water.
