Walking for Water is seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager Developer to join our Project Group. As a nonprofit organization that provides clean water solutions in developing countries, we rely on volunteers to help fulfill our mission.
In this role, you will work with our Project Group to manage the validation process for project applications.
A successful candidate will have strong leadership experience and skills and be able to step into our Project Group as a team leader.
We look for a person who can understand the bigger picture behind our projects, and is able to make rational decisions for rejecting or accepting applications based on our guidelines, delegate work, and motivate our volunteer-run team.
Experience with project management software is a plus, but not a prerequisite. You will be given an opportunity to restructure our project funnel and to lead the groups’ operations as you see fit.
Your work will directly impact our on-site projects and contribute to our mission of establishing clean water access in African communities.
Leadership and managerial experience.
Project management, design, and implementation experience.
Skilled at team management and team building, preferably in a remote setting.
Creative problem solver and good at creating and maintaining structure.
Experience with project management and/or pipedrive software, such as Monday, Atlassian, Pipedrive, or HubSpot, is a plus.
Motivational or transformational leadership style.
A degree in General Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or other related fields is a plus.
Fluent in English. Fluency in Danish is a plus.
Remotely manage and lead our Project Group responsible for all on-site water projects in Africa.
Manage our Project Validation Process from reviewing an application to handing over finished pumps.
Establish a consistent meeting schedule within your team and delegate work as you see fit.
Motivate and activate your team as needed.
Customize and renew our project management systems if you see fit.
Cooperate with our other working groups and on-site partners as needed.
Please note, that no monetary compensation is provided with this position. Walking for Water is a 100% volunteer-run NGO.
However, you will gain valuable project management and NGO management experience. More importantly, you can make a big difference in communities lacking safe drinking water.
