Making the maritime industry safer and greener is an imperial part of our strategy. Danelec is market-leading in data collection and ship performance monitoring and for our digital business unit we are looking for a new colleague, who in cooperation with our digital sales team can maintain and preserve existing customer relations, by providing technical competencies in the planning, design and commissioning of customer installations.
Your role is to be responsible for technical support to our customers on the Danelec Connect cloud solutions, incl. connectivity from Danelec hardware via vessel-IT, VSAT etc. to Cloud; dashboards; notification center etc. You report to the Director of Global Service.
You will be responsible for the “production” of the Danelec Connect configuration and data mapping, data channel lists etc. and participate in the abovementioned tasks together with the support & production team. You manage a team consisting of own direct reports and shared SME resources.
You will be working closely together with other teams in global service, R&D, Sales etc. and besides that have a lot of stakeholders that you will cooperate with – for example the Tech Support Manager on data collection required for data mapping and cloud. Together with the Tech Support Manager you will manage a shared 24/7 Hyper Care support function.
Besides the above, your tasks will be the following:
Verification of technical solution with customer
Support project price calculations
Ensure the technical feasibility of our products and services versus customer need.
Support the Business Development and Sales Teams around the world.
Ensure proper project handover to Service Delivery in turn-key solution sales.
Close the gaps between R&D, Sales, Service Delivery, and After Sales Support in the sales process in cooperation with the digital sales team
Assist the Training Manager in creating technical training material and courses
Support processes related to cybersecurity, handling of live data, and most common protocols
Experience from global maritime (VSAT, IT e.g.)
Cloud experience incl. cloud solutions
Team leader experience, incl. remote people management
Proven ability into building, improving and maintaining relevant internal and external relationships, workable structures and processes
Proactive development and successful execution of relevant strategies addressing evolving customer needs
Strong influence, written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Positive, service-oriented personality.
Willingness to travel.
