We are now growing, and looking to strengthen our team with an aspiring Backend Developer with at least one year of work experience, to help us make our product even stronger. Are you in?
As our Backend Developer you will become a critical part of our R&D team with 6 colleagues working across mobile, frontend, design and backend. You'll work closely with our Senior Backend Developer and jointly you will develop new features while improving our existing systems and processes. We crunch a huge amount of data, so if you're into that kind of stuff you'll have a blast with us.
As opposed to the traditional Product Owner setup, we have a Product Management Team represented by both R&D, Sales and Operations. This way we can prioritise our work based on both what we can sell, what our customers want and what we think is possible to do.
In line with the product we are building, we operate with a hybrid remote policy, meaning you have the flexibility to work partially remotely. Most of us work from the office at least 2 days per week, and mostly more!
We use modern technologies such as Typescript, Serverless, Docker, Terraform, and we build our solutions on top of the services AWS offers.
We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer with relevant education a year of work experience, transitioning into a Mid-level engineer. We hope that you have some experience building solutions in Typescript on top of AWS infrastructure. Ideally, you have already stubbed your toe against AWS limits and found solutions, and you like the challenge of building reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is good at communication, a team player and a fast learner, not afraid of taking on new technologies.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have the following:
1+ years experience as a backend developer at a product company/IT consultant
1+ years experience with Typescript
1+ AWS experience (Lambdas, IAM, Cognito)
Based in Helsinki capital region - able to work onsite at least 2 days per week (you need to already be in Finland)
Fluency in Finnish (alternatively another Nordic language)
Bonus points for the following:
Knowledge of or willingness to learn: Python, GoLang, AI
University degree in Computer Science or similar
Work experience in a startup
