At ROICO we are developing a collaborative painting tool using robotic technology. We empower painters with a solution that works alongside them, allowing them to focus on high-value and value-creating tasks. This tool will help painters increase their productivity, reduce physically straining tasks, and address the labor shortage among painting companies.
We are looking for a Master Thesis or Intern to assist in bringing our collaborative mobile painting robot to life.
Work with RGBD sensors for obstacle avoidance, both on walls and ground
Perform pose estimation for the obstacles
Train Neural Networks to detect obstacles, and their position
Work with fiducial markers, i.e Aruco
Remote work (Working with the robot on-site may be necessary)

Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python and Linux programming
Experience working with OpenCV
Experience working with neural networks, mainly CNN

Familiarity with Git
An eye for details and aesthetics
A proactive, problem-solving attitude
Fluent in English
