Litech, founded in 2021, is a spin-off of The Norwegian University of Life Science, dedicated to developing intelligent solutions to detect and remove flammable batteries from the waste stream, reducing the risk of fire. Our vision is to create green and safe waste management by eliminating the harmful impact of missorted batteries.
Litech has an extensive network and access to resources. We are currently a part of The Heritage Group Accelerator and collaborate with several partners within the waste industry and R&D, such as The Norwegian University of Life Sciences and RENAS. We are also a part of the dynamic ecosystem at Startuplab, where our office and lab are located.
We are looking for a team-oriented electronic engineer with a solid technical background. With our technical team, you will work hands-on designing electronic circuits and microcontroller programming. Litech works closely with demanding customers and user-driven innovation is central to our method.
Due to our dynamic environment, you must be proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable with challenges. The eagerness to learn, be curious, and challenge existing solutions is highly valued.
Our prototype has been verified in a lab – the next step is to install it in industrial environments and initiate a pilot project.
Your key responsibilities will be
Design electronic circuits and hardware components that meet customer specifications and requirements.
Create schematic diagrams and layouts for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and ensure integration of electronic components.
Work closely with developers, designers, and other team members to design and improve technical solutions.
Participate in technical discussions and decision-making.
Keep abreast of new technologies and tools and explore opportunities to integrate them into development processes.
Assist in maintaining and improving existing hardware products.
Collaborate with other teams to convert MVP to a scalable product
Preferred qualification and experience
Strong EE & DSP fundamentals.
HW/SW debugging skills with lab equipment.
Extensive experience with all phases of PCB design (part selection, schematic, constraints, library management, board layout).
Experience designing PCBs for industrial and size-constrained applications.
Experience with sensors, power management, and signal/power integrity.
Experience with firmware development for embedded systems (C/C+ or Rust).
Fluency with PCB CAD tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCad, or Allegro).
Knowledge of MCU architectures, peripherals, and development environments.
Comfortable reading electrical schematics and datasheets.
Comfortable with common communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, etc.).
Please remember that we are a startup, and your role and responsibilities may change according to our needs and phases.
This role is full-time in-person at our offices in Oslo. We offer a competitive compensation package and a unique opportunity to gain insight and experience in an innovative and scientific environment.
