Position Overview:

Are you a versatile Full-Stack Developer looking to make a significant impact on the future of sustainable business? Aila is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team. As our Full-Stack Developer, you'll be at the heart of our technical development, shaping our platform's user experience, functionality, and overall success. This role offers a potential path to becoming Aila's CTO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website and Application Development: Lead the design and configuration of Aila's website and browser-based applications, ensuring an exceptional user experience and seamless functionality.

• Architecture and Infrastructure: Make critical decisions regarding the selection of tools, software, and technology. Define the system's architecture and infrastructure.

• Front-end and Back-end Development: Develop Aila’s site and application front-end (design, interface, and interactivity) and back-end (servers, applications, and databases).

• Database Management: Develop and manage well-functioning databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

• API Development: Create efficient and effective APIs to support our platform's functionality.

• Mobile Responsive Design: Build features and applications with a mobile-responsive design to cater to a diverse user base.

• Technical Documentation: Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for reference.

• Agile Methodologies: Work within Agile methodologies to drive development efficiency.

• Security and Data Protection: Ensure the highest level of data protection and security settings.

• Commercial Awareness: Collaborate with the business team to identify the best technical solutions, leveraging your analytical skills.

• AI Integration: Express interest in AI and contribute to AI-related projects. Develop our platform with automating the mundane, efficient code generation, streamlining testing, UI/UX enhancements, intelligent data management, etc.

Key qualifications and competencies:

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.

• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, XML, jQuery)

• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)

• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers and UI/UX design

• Experience with Agile methodologies

• Knowledge of data protection and cybersecurity

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset

• Passion for sustainability and interest in AI integration

• Startup experience and building systems from scratch is highly appreciated

• Language skills: English fluent, Finnish fluency preferable
