Position Overview:

As the VMS Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and success of our Voyage Management System. This comprehensive platform empowers maritime professionals with advanced tools and analytics to enhance voyage planning & execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Vision:

- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and goals for the Voyage Management System.

- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform product roadmap.

2. Roadmap Planning and Execution:

- Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business objectives and customer needs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, sales, and support) to ensure successful product delivery.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product goals and objectives.

- Engage with clients to understand their pain points and requirements, and translate them into actionable product improvements.

4. Product Development Oversight:

- Work closely with the engineering team to guide the development process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features.

- Conduct regular sprint planning, review, and retrospectives to track progress and address any roadblocks.

5. User Experience and Design:

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface that maximizes user adoption and satisfaction.

6. Quality Assurance and Testing:

- Define testing requirements and work with QA teams to ensure the product meets high standards of quality and reliability.

7. Market Adoption and Promotion:

- Develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities, to drive product adoption and market share.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

- Proven experience (X+ years) in product management, preferably in the maritime or transportation industry.

- Strong understanding of voyage management systems, maritime operations, and industry trends.

- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.

- Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and metrics tracking.
