Position Overview:
As an Embedded Software Engineer Intern at Luftvejen, you'll be diving deep into uncharted territories, working at the forefront of drone technology. Your primary focus will be to embed intelligence into our hanging drone charging stations, making them smarter, more efficient, and more responsive.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development and Optimization: Work closely with the hardware team to develop and refine software that ensures smooth docking, charging, and disengaging of drones.
Integration with Drone Systems: Establish communication protocols with various drone models, enabling them to recognize, approach, and dock with our charging stations autonomously.
Sensor Data Processing: Develop algorithms to process data from onboard sensors, ensuring precise positioning and safe docking.
Safety Protocols: Implement safety measures to prevent malfunctions and ensure user and drone safety at all times.
Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends in embedded systems and drone technologies, constantly seeking ways to innovate and improve our system.
Qualifications:
Pursuing or completing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficient in C/C++, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
Experience with embedded systems, preferably related to drones or robotics.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Previous experience with drone technology is a plus but not mandatory.
