Vandre is a young Norwegian tech company offering brands in the textile industry a platform with various circular services. The sports and textile industry faces strict requirements and a major upheaval, as the EU is planning to introduce sustainability reporting and requirements to offer consumers repair of products in 2025.
Our platform connects brands in the industry with certified repair centres and facilitates a seamless user journey with logistics and payment options. The platform is also a sought-after tool at repair centres, as it helps to make their daily operations more efficient.
This is a white-label SaaS platform, making us able to scale our operation without scaling the organization. We have currently launched in Norway, and plan to expand to the rest of the Nordics and beyond in the future.
And we are now looking for a Tech Lead to help us grow Vandre to the next level.
As our new Tech Lead you will be joining our small Product Team and report to our CPO Jostein. You will be working especially close with our external tech team from Norwegian Iterate, who is also an investor. We also work very closely with our partners – brands, repair centres and retailers.
You will start off in the role as tech lead being very hands-on, but we imagine that with time and as the team grows this could turn into more of a CTO role.
Your responsibilities will include:
Continuously improving our technology behind our partner’s reCommerce and repair offerings
Lead our technology strategy
Be hands-on with product development, so that we reach our goals
Provide a seamless experience for the consumers going from brand to repair centre
Focus on successfully bringing the brands into the development process
Ensure customer satisfaction with our product
Meeting the KPIs that the brands put value on
We have hard priorities, as there will always be things that are "nice to do" and things that we "must do". We have great trust in each other and believe that everyone in our team manages to balance work and leisure.
We offer a salary between 650 000-750 000NOK yearly plus a stock options program. We are all on the same salary working towards a common goal.
Our current tech stack is: Javascript, Typescript, Next, React, Tailwind, Supabase, Node, Sanity, Docker, Kubernetes
Someone who is eager to lead our technology, (you need to be hands on and code), and also able to set direction and scope tasks to take our product to the next level
A "jack of all trades" but willing to learn quickly on the job
A person comfortable with working in small teams with a high level of accountability
Experience with working in startups (preferably tech start-ups)
Comfortable interacting with our brands and translating their input into our product roadmap
Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a full-stack developer/2+ years combined with a University degree
Strong knowledge of Javascript, React and Typescript
Based in Norway
Bonus for:
University degree in Computer Science or related field
Startup experience
Tech lead experience
Norwegian language - not required to do the job, but a big plus as most customers prefer to speak Norwegian
