Be My Eyes is looking for a Mobile Developer to work with our teams in Denmark and the U.S. to advance our mission of making the world more accessible for 253 million blind and low-vision people around the world! Do you want to write software that really matters?

You will have a real impact in taking Be My Eyes to the next level in terms of features and functionality as part of our small but growing team. You have the skills, experience, wisdom, ability to collaborate, and patience to work with the team to deliver high-quality software to meet our users' needs.

What you get to do every day

Work with a small and dedicated team
Ship your code to production and impact the daily lives of thousands of people around the globe
Design and build advanced applications for our user-facing platforms
Actively participate in coding, pair programming, reviewing pull requests, and testing

What you bring to the role

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
Experience building, managing, and scaling Android mobile applications
Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
You take initiative and bring tasks to completion with your team, you hate leaving a task unfinished

Nice to have - experience with any of these

Reactive programming, preferably RxJava/RxKotlin
Kotlin
iOS app development
Python and Django applications

The Be My Eyes product development team is based mostly in Denmark and is fully remote. Some of us are in the Aarhus area and some of us are in Copenhagen and we meet once a week. If you’re not based in Denmark you need to be within +/- 2 time zones from CET.
