About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Community Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and engaged online community through various social media platforms. As a Volunteer Community Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the way our organization connects with its audience, builds relationships, and disseminates information. This is a remote, unpaid volunteer position that offers valuable experience in community management and social media engagement.


What You’ll Do

  • Engagement: Actively participate in discussions, answer queries, and create a welcoming atmosphere for the online community.

  • Content: Develop compelling posts, graphics, and videos in collaboration with the content team.

  • Listening: Monitor trends, feedback, and discussions to adapt strategies and suggest improvements.

  • Moderation: Ensure user-generated content adheres to guidelines and maintains respectful conversations.

  • Growth: Collaborate on strategies to expand community reach and engagement.

  • Feedback: Collect and convey community feedback to relevant teams.

  • Promotion: Boost event and campaign visibility through social channels.

  • Reporting: Provide regular engagement and growth reports.

  • Experience in social media and online communities.

  • Familiarity with social platforms and best practices.

  • Organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Independent, creative, and data-driven mindset.

  • Proficiency in social media tools is a plus.
