What do we do?

Our mission is to enable sustainable next-generation buildings by changing how building tech connectivity is done. By building a wireless connectivity platform we’re making new construction, renovations, and upgrades more greener, cheaper, and faster in the future.

Need for the role

We’re looking for a Senior Software / Backend Engineer to join our team and take our product to the next level. As Clouder is still in its early phase this is an integral role in our company with a lot of opportunity to have an impact, e.g. on the stack and building our development practices. We value someone who’s eager to work in a full stack role - the focus of your work might change depending on the team’s focus area and objectives.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll solve challenges and complete projects in a variety of fields. In practice, this includes:

• Taking an active part in the architecture-related design, including both on-premise parts and cloud infrastructure

• Development of highly scalable and secure data storage

• Development of a secure and robust deployment system for delivering system configurations to remote devices

• Building web and mobile-based applications for Clouder wireless connectivity products & developing continuous integration solutions for the app development

• Working closely with building technology and wireless network specialists to create the best possible solutions for our customers

What we are looking for in the role

• Proven experience in designing and implementing highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures with AWS / GCP

• Experience in building secure and robust backend services and data storage

• Knowledgeability with CI/CD pipelines and best DevOps practices

• Interest in using also modern frontend development languages

• Strong understanding of agile methodologies

• A good team member who contributes with optimism and impact-orientation

• Fluency in English both spoken and written. Additionally, you must be eligible to work in Finland.

  
  

The following experience is not mandatory but can be useful

• Custom embedded software development for IoT devices

• Secure firmware update solutions for embedded devices

• Experience in industrial protocols like Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, MBUS / WMBUS, KNX…
