Be My Eyes is looking for a student UX/UI designer based in Denmark to join the product team on our thrilling journey to improve the lives of blind and low-vision people all around the world. You have a strong interest in UX, UI, and research.
You feel confident in conducting and structuring user research and you are able to convert these findings into possible actions to improve the user experience.
You have some experience with HTML/CSS.
You are preferably about to start on your master’s in Information Studies, Digital Design, IT Product Development, or similar.
You are preferably located around Aarhus and able to meet in person once a week.
As part of a small team, you are willing to handle various tasks, ranging from setting up emails to brainstorming product vision.
Experience with Figma or Sketch (we use Figma).
Experience using Webflow.
As the student UX/UI designer your main task will be to assist the product designer (Aske) in improving the UX and UI of the Be My Eyes mobile and web app. This includes tasks like:
Research on users and competitors
Create wireframes and mockups in Figma
Website design and maintenance in Webflow
Create graphic assets for marketing
Design emails
And lots of other ad hoc tasks*
*Being part of a small team you will from time to time also encounter tasks that are not specifically related to UX and UI but that are crucial to solve to move things forward.

Be My Eyes is an iOS and Android app that connects blind and low-vision people with sighted volunteers all over the world. We have won an Apple Design Award and our customers are amongst others Google, Spotify, and Microsoft. We are a small remote team spanning across Europe and the US. You will be a part of the product development team primarily located in Denmark. You will work alongside the product designer Aske who is located near Aarhus.
The salary is 150 DKK/hour. You can expect to work 10-15 hours per week. Timing is flexible so you can fit it around your studies.
