Rental housing market in Finland is huge, there are more than 350.000 apartments owned by private landlords alone. This market is largely fragmented to the landlord's who use realtors like Vuokraturva, and another half who use a fully do-it-yourself solutions like Oikotie and Vuokravi.

Fiksuvuokraus.fi is an established player between these two segments as a digital realtor with over +2000 rented apartments and 5 years of history. In our service, the rental process is simplified and accelerated with the latest technologies that are primarily used only for apartment selling.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected our industry, and the rental market turned upside down after a several stable years, and we couldn't find the product-market fit anymore. And because of that, we had to shut down the development and common plans for the future. Now it's time to leave this chapter behind and build a pivot for next generation apartment owners based on existing technology, and really refine the industry.

Tech stack

Our technology is built on AWS architectures using serverless approaches, NoSQL databases, and Node.js APIs to serve user-friendly React apps. We also use top designers to create ready mockups for Figma or Abode XD.

• Node.js and server-side API, business logic, and database experience (DynamoDB or MongoDB)

• Strong in front-end React, HTML, CSS, etc. web technologies
