Our mission at dCompany is to simplify the lives of management, board members and shareholders by streamlining corporate decisions and documentation. We believe lawyers should be doing legal work, not paperwork. We are a LegalTech company offering digital legal services to Norwegian companies on a subscription basis.
Our current team has 12 members split across commercial and development. Now, we are looking for a new front-end developer to join our efforts!
As a frontend developer at dCompany, you will be part of a development team of very experienced developers (currently 6 people, many with 20+ years experience) giving a great chance for you to learn, and report to our frontend lead Gunnar.
The development team works closely with UX, domain experts (lawyers) and commercial department.
We collaborate using Jira to prioritize and manage our tasks, and have daily standups in the dev team. Every second week we have a company-wide priority meeting where we align our work across departments. We have a hybrid work model, where you have the option to work from home 2 days per week if that is your preference.
We are an open environment with short decision-making processes where you will be given a high level of trust. You will have opportunities to influence the technology choices that you yourself will have to live with.
More specifically you will work with product development in our interdisciplinary and autonomous team:
New development, shipping new functionality to production
Collaborate closely with other developers, UX, domain experts and the business side to translate requirements into functions that provide good solutions for users
Help improve our front-end technologies and development process
Develop yourself and contribute by sharing knowledge with the rest of the team

We are looking for a committed developer who ideally has some experience in frontend programming, but if you are newly graduated and highly motivated, and in addition have some experience in frontend projects, we would like to hear from you.
We welcome applications with at least a bachelor's degree and preferably a master's degree in computer science, computer technology or similar. You have a strong programming foundation, are interested in learning new technology and making continuous improvements.
Your main responsibility will be streamlining legal workflows and digitizing corporate processes. The development team works closely with UX, domain experts (lawyers) and commercial department, and to succeed in this role it is essential that you are eager to understand the business we operate in.
We are looking for someone who is concerned with good technical solutions and who at the same time has a focus on the end user's journey and experience.
It is important that you have experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript and responsive design in complex front-end applications. You must also have experience with at least one frontend framework. Our frontend is built in React.
Qualifications:
experience as a front-end developer
BSc or MSc in computer science, alternatively 4 years of experience if you don't have a university degree. (Graduates welcome to apply if you have experience with frontend projects)
HTML, CSS, TypeScript and responsive design
Know at least one frontend framework
A good eye for visuals and CSS details and desire to create a visually appealing experience in our application
Based in Oslo and able to work on-site at least 3 days per week
Fluent in English and preferably also in Norwegian
Bonus points for:
Experience with React
Backend knowledge
