We are seeking a motivated and talented Frontend Developer Intern to join our tech team. Evvent is an ambitious and innovative startup in the early stages, with a vision to become the leading marketplace for muslim-friendly event services. Our goal is to revolutionize the event planning industry by providing a platform that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusivity, and delivers exceptional customer experiences.

As a frontend developer intern you will have the opportunity to work alongside our tech team and gain hands-on experience in building user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for our event planning platform. We are looking for candidates with a strong passion for frontend development and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the design and development teams to implement frontend features and enhancements for the Evvent platform.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Ensure the responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility of the frontend interfaces.
Optimize frontend performance and user experience.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends and technologies.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related competency.
Solid understanding of Next js with Typescript, Server Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG)
Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React js or React Native.
Familiarity with CSS and TailwindCSS
Familiarity with RESTful API, Serverless Functions and Data Fetching.
Experience with Wordpress CMS and PHP and can customize Wordpress Themes.
Experience with Wordpress REST API is a plus
Knowledge of other Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Strapi, Sanity or Laravel is a plus.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
