Megapop seeks a new senior game designer to join our offices in Oslo, Norway.

We have set sail on ‘Life Below’, a strategy city-builder where you build coral reefs and ocean ecosystems. A reef builder! It’s for this team you first join as a game designer, in addition to future Megapop game titles.

A part of the position includes designing impact games for Norwegian society at large, some of them with big success. Typically we spend 50% of our time on our own IP, and the rest on games for others. It's a truly varied and exciting job.

For this women-led team, we urge women to apply

Required skills:

• 4+ years of game designer experience

• At least 2 shipped game titles, one as senior

• Strong sense of system design, balance, gameplay systems and gameplay flow

• Great understanding of Unity, technology and the game development process

• Curious, methodical and a good documenter of your work

• Preferably, experience working with strategy or city-builders, and/or extensive experience playing such games

 Nice to have:

• You must be fluent in English. It’s a benefit if you speak/write Norwegian

• An interest in the natural world, the impact of gaming and what games can do for society

• Additional technical, artistic and process skills are warmly welcomed

• Additional skills in gamification or “other use of games” are very welcome

• Experience with managing other people and processes in a team

• An interest, and executable skills, within digital storytelling
