ABOUT THE INVESTOR TEAM
Slush’s three-person Investor team is responsible for attracting the world’s leading venture capital investors to Slush and creating the best investor experience of any event on the planet for them.
Investors are one of Slush’s core audience groups, and the Investor team works closely with the other two core audience teams (Startups & Media). The Investor team also cooperates closely with the Program, Partnerships, Marketing, and Production teams to realize its own and joint targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INVESTOR TEAM
Selling 2,900 Investor tickets to Slush 2023 (together with the Marketing team)
This includes creating the Investor application and accepting applications
Responsibility for Slush’s relationship work towards the world’s leading venture capital investors: creating new relationships and nurturing the existing ones
Curating and creating relevant programs for the investors joining Slush, both independently and together with our partners
Supporting & collaborating with other Slush teams that rely on our investor networks, such as our Program & Startup teams
Investor partnership sales (lounges, meeting tables, side events, etc.)
Creating the world’s best meeting experience together with Product and Startup teams
Customer service towards investors looking to join the event
RESPONSIBILITIES OF INVESTOR OPERATIONS
Owning the operations of the following investor products & concepts at Slush 2023: Investor Office Hours, Platform & Comms event, Junior VC gathering. This includes but is not limited to:
Leading the practical operations of the events
Planning the content, identifying relevant parties, and inviting them to join
Responsibility for communication & collaboration with event partners and vendors
Leading the volunteer operations
Together with the Investor team, building relationships with the 2,900 investors arriving at Slush 2023 & acting as one of their first points of contact.
Responsibility for the management of certain investor relations & partnerships.
Communicating the value promise of Slush to the most prominent investors globally.
Reviewing incoming investor applications & providing customer service through email with the rest of the team.
REQUIREMENTS
Curious mindset to absorb the dynamics of the global startup ecosystem and venture capital in particular, and driven by the opportunity to learn in a dynamic environment.
Excited about creating and maintaining external relationships with one of Slush’s core audience groups.
Ability to work and communicate effectively between internal teams and external stakeholders, and passionate about executing excellent communication.
Good project management skills, including an ability to comprehend and lead multiple projects at once.
Self-starter with great execution skills: capable of advancing own projects independently.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Your growth will be supported by the broader team at Slush, and more importantly, clarity of thought combined with relentless curiosity towards the inner workings of the startup ecosystem trump previous experience. Ideally, you’ll be looking to join Slush for 1–3 years and use it as a launchpad on your path to founding or joining a world-changing growth company.
Commitment: This is a full-time, fixed-term role until the end of 2023. The Slush team is based in Helsinki and we are looking for a candidate to start on August 1st, 2023.
