Breach is looking for an experienced and talented Lead 3D artist to help shape our art pipelines and inspire our existing team through impactful and high-quality creations. We create content and solutions for virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR / AR / MR / XR), with a strong emphasis on multi-user collaboration and cross-platform scenarios.

Breach saw its inception in late 2016, with three Norwegian co-founders meeting at the game-themed co-working space Work-Work. Breach has since grown to a team of 27 enthusiastic designers and developers, working on a variety of projects both internally as well as with clients and partners around the world.

The company headquarters is situated downtown in the tech-capital and university city of Trondheim, Norway, close to the main streets for bus, train, and tram, and a lively city center.


  • Research, design exploration, and prototyping to create compelling experiences and high-quality content.

  • Work with the broader team and contribute to conceptual discussions across a variety of projects.

  • Creating production-ready content for use in Unity and/or Unreal.


  • 3+ years of experience working as a developer in a relevant field.

  • Expert knowledge in a leading 3D package - Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or Modo.

  • Experience with Creative Cloud products

  • Prior experience with Substance Designer/Painter

  • Ability and desire to work in smaller innovation-driven teams.

Bonus points

  • Comfortable in taking the lead and encouraging others.

  • Have a strong sense of priority.

  • Familiarity with the content creation pipeline for Unity and/or Unreal

  • Experience with Houdini or other procedural tools and pipelines

  • Experience with shader creation, scripting, pipeline improvements, or other technical art areas

  • A sensibility for design and user experience.

Breach conducts research and development into VR, AR, MR and XR, helping to shape and enable the future of virtual reality and immersive technologies. The company is headquartered in the middle of downtown Trondheim, putting us right in the centre of a vibrant Norwegian entrepreneurial scene bustling with talented software and hardware developers. Art Director and Lead Designer Sindre Grønvoll has worked over a decade in the gaming industry with companies such as DICE, Criterion, Zynga and The Chinese Room, and occasionally lectures on game design.  CTO and Lead Developer Martin Sivertsen has the tech lead, drawing from over 20 years of experience as a programmer,  designer,  journalist and producer in VR, web and the online media industry in Norway.  Our CEO Marius Thorvaldsen has a long and proven record of accomplishments in building and managing start-ups and initiatives in various industries, and is also the  managing director and co-founder of the co-working space Work-Work, as well as a  digital educational technology advisor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.
