🚀 Plaace (/pleɪs/) is a rapidly growing Norwegian tech startup on a mission to create vibrant streets and cities that people truly love. We do so with a platform fuelled by state-of-the-art analytics and newly available data sources to enable smarter decisions for every actor involved in the city floor. Our data-driven platform provides valuable insights and recommendations based on card transactions, footfall, demographics, and competition to empower businesses and organisations to make informed decisions.

We work with some of the largest property companies, retailers and brokers including OBOS, Eiendomsspar, Alti Forvaltning, Stor-Oslo Eiendom, Norgesgruppen, CBRE, Princess, Fretex, etc. We’re at a stage where we focus on growing the customer list and harvesting the market potential both nationally and internationally.

And we are now scaling our commercial efforts and looking for an analytical person, experienced in B2B sales to join our commercial team.

 

About the role

As our new Account Executive you will play an integral part of our commercial team currently consisting of 5 people working closely together across areas of Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Customer Success. Until recently we have been relying on founder-led sales, and together with Fredric, who has a similar role, you will be responsible for further developing our sales processes, structuring and driving our future sales efforts.

You will work closely with our founders CEO Snorre and CMO Tobias, who you will be reporting to, picking up leads from and prospects generated by Hans-Olav, handing over closed sales to our Customer Success Manager Eirik, and together with the entire team work on product packaging and business development to drive further growth.

The key responsibilities involve creating business opportunities and landing new customers, and will entail building relations with some of Norways largest companies. The entry to the customers is typically quite high in the organisations, meaning you will be in touch with very interesting stakeholders and build an exciting network - this can be expansion managers in the larger corporations, people who work with data analytics (layer below c-level) or even CEOs, so to excel in this role you need to be comfortable talking to more senior people.

More specifically the job entails:

  • Convert leads from inbound, referrals/network as well as cold outreach to prospects

  • Understanding the customers needs and building the optimal use cases

  • Conduct physical and virtual meetings, including product demos

  • Create your own deal-flow, own the sales process from start to finish (using Hubspot)

  • Closing the sale and handing the deals over to Customer Success

  • Iterate on the business development - commercial model, pricing model, sales metrics and how we can best sell and convert effectively

  • Contribute to optimising our current sales playbook, best practices and sales material

  • Salary consists of a base-line and commission, with possibility to grow this a lot if you perform

 

Who we are looking for

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, hungry and motivated by reaching commercial goals both personally and as a team. You are independent, driven, analytical and organized, and able to use small details to paint the big picture. We're open for a range of past work experiences - from hands on B2B software sales to consulting, but the ideal candidate will have a few years experience with B2B software sales, and has worked in a start-up or scale-up.

In addition we require that you speak Norwegian and are able to work from our office in Oslo.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years work experience with B2B sales or consulting

  • Analytical understanding and ability to see the customers potential use cases

  • Good at solution sales/value based sales and story-telling abilities to make comprehensive demonstrations of our solution and it’s value proposition

  • Comfortable dealing with stakeholders high up in the customer organisations

  • Startup mindset - comfortable working in a fast changing environment

  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal Norwegian (Swedish and Danish can be accepted)

  • Experience working with CRM software

  • Ability to work onsite in Oslo

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with B2B software sales

  • Startup or scaleup experience

  • Know your way around Hubspot
