We are Geniess. Our mission is to enable 24/7 clean electricity. We do this by developing software to optimize and evaluate energy storage installations and microgrids. Our solutions enable faster and better battery storage investment decisions, improving the system design and accelerating implementation.
We’re a small and fast-growing company, with funding support from both Norwegian and international VCs. We are building a curious and collaborative team to tackle one of the most important - and unsolved - challenges in the energy transition today. About you
The ideal candidate is impact oriented and passionate about the energy transition with a track record of success in B2B SaaS sales. As part of an early-stage startup, you are self-motivated and can work in a dynamic and independent way. You are curious, have an appetite for learning, and aren’t put off by challenging problems. Our solution lies in the intersection between fields such as data science, power systems, and investment analysis, and we highly value curiosity and good collaboration skills across disciplines.
About the role
In this role you will be working closely with the CEO and CFO/CCO, driving sales and commercial traction across northern Europe and further abroad. You will be the first dedicated sales employee and will be critical in shaping and professionalizing our sales pipeline, go-to-market approach, and focus on value creation for our customers.
As an early employee in a small startup team you will collaborate directly with leadership and be a key part in shaping our commercial approach going forwards and the buildout of our future commercial team. We’re looking for someone who can both drive sales today and has the potential to lead our future sales team.
Preferred qualifications
5-10 years of sales experience, with a preference for experience with B2B SaaS sales and/or the energy sector
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to translate complex analytical solutions into crisp value propositions for a range of customer segments
Interest in the energy transition
Experience from high-growth companies and scaling sales organizations a plus
Knowledge from the energy sector a plus
Fluent in English; German, Dutch, or Nordic languages a plus
