We are seeking an experienced devops and data security engineer for a full-time position to help develop and safeguard our company’s technology systems (our product). The job will be versatile and include a wide range of responsibilities to keep things interesting. The best part? Also, there is room for growth.

The daily grind? Managing and maintaining client environments in Kubernetes clusters.

The must-haves:

The non-negotiables:

• 2+ years of experience in managing Kubernetes apps and clusters

• 2+ years of experience in any cloud computing platform (GCP / AWS / Azure)

• Fluent spoken and written English

The security must-haves:

• Cloud and/or container security principles

• Web application security principles

• Key and certificate management processes and tools

The strong know-how stuff:

• Any cloud computing platform (Google Cloud / AWS / Azure)

• Kubernetes

• Docker

• CI pipeline

• Git

The at-least-basic-level stuff:

• Helm

• Linux

• Bash scripting

The nice-to-haves:

The security nice-to-haves:

• Configuration management process and practices

• Secure log management practises

• Vulnerability management process and practices

• Google Cloud Platform security tools and services

• Network security

• Encryption libraries and tools

• Scoping of penetration testing activities and acting on the results

• Threat modelling methodologies

• Static code analysis tools

• Monitoring tools

• Security test automation tools

• Familiarity with security related frameworks, guidelines and standard, like OWASP, CIS, ISO27001 and NIST

Other tech nice-to-haves:

• Terraform

• Gitlab CI

• Python

• Scaffold

• Cloud and/or container security principles

• Web application security principles

• Key and certificate management processes and tools

A formal education in Computer Science / Engineering field would also be considered to be a bonus.
