The National Academy of Technology is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic IT Teaching Assistant (TA) to support our IT faculty in generating text-based educational materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT concepts and technologies, as well as excellent writing and communication skills. This is a part-time position, offering a unique opportunity to develop both technical and pedagogical skills while contributing to the academy's IT education initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with IT faculty to develop, edit, and revise text-based educational materials, such as course syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and exams
Research and gather relevant resources and materials to support the development of high-quality course content
Assist in the creation of engaging and informative multimedia content (e.g., presentations, video scripts, and tutorials) for various IT courses
Support faculty in conducting course assessments and evaluations, and provide feedback on student performance
Maintain regular communication with faculty and students to address questions, concerns, and feedback related to course materials
Attend and participate in department meetings, workshops, and other events as needed
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT and education to ensure the relevancy and accuracy of course content
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong knowledge of IT concepts and technologies, with a focus on the specific subject areas in which support will be provided
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex IT concepts in a clear and concise manner
Prior experience in a teaching or tutoring role, preferably within the IT or higher education sectors, is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including faculty, staff, and students
