The newly established Academy of Technology is seeking a talented and motivated IT Content Creator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT concepts and technologies, as well as a passion for creating engaging and informative content that supports the academy's educational mission.
Responsibilities:
Develop and produce high-quality, engaging, and informative content about IT topics for various platforms (e.g., websites, social media, newsletters, and blogs)
Collaborate with IT faculty/staff to identify and address relevant topics and trends
Edit, proofread, and ensure consistency in content, tone, and style across all platforms
Manage and maintain the academy's IT content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent publication
Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to inform future content strategies and identify areas for improvement
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT and content creation to ensure content remains relevant and accurate
Assist in the development of promotional materials for events, conferences, and workshops
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with the CEO as needed to ensure alignment of content strategy with academy goals and initiatives
Qualifications: (Probable, not a must)
Bachelor's student within Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in content creation, ideally within the IT or higher education sectors
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to translate complex IT concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for a variety of audiences
Proficient in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media platforms, and analytics tools
Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience implementing SEO strategies
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
Familiarity with graphic design principles and experience using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
