We are looking for a motivated and disciplined web developer with at least  3 years of experience in building high-performing, well-tested and secure applications. You will be joining our talented team in Helsinki, taking a large ownership of the software development lifecycle and continuously iterating on processes to deliver high quality software that helps our users compare financial products to save time and money.

Your main responsibilities:

• Writing clean and performant code, which should be well documented and covered by automated testing

• Taking ownership in all phases of the development lifecycle, particularly at the creation stage

• Contribute to improving our development and process

• Monitoring applications performance to improve it

What we’re hoping you can offer us

• Your understanding of how to balance technical purity against the value of progressing as a business while delivering features on time.

What we’re expecting from you

• 3+ years of experience with Java or any other JVM languages such as Groovy

• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Experience with building modern web applications

• You’re fluent in English (written and spoken)

• You’re based in or willing to relocate to Helsinki

The following is seen as a plus but is not required

• Experience with Spring Boot and/or the Grails framework

• Experience with modern Javascript frameworks (vue/react/angular)

• Experience with managing web applications on AWS

• Fluent in Finnish (the current language in the office is Finnish even though a lot of communication already happens in English)
