As a UX/UI Designer Intern here at SLOVE you’ll have the opportunity to impact both how we work with user experience (defining both process and project needs) but also participate hands-on in improving the world's best music app.
You’ll make sure that SLOVE platform is understandable and user-friendly for artists (musicians), businesses (venues,promoters, etc.), and consumers, as well as maintain an overarching UX vision and strategy for the app.
About the Role
You’ll have full ownership of SLOVE platform user journey - optimizing flows and setting up a solid UX-foundation for future enhancements and system improvements. You’ll conduct ongoing customer verification (validation), identifying, improvising, and prioritizing areas that are more appropriate for customers' needs.
As a UX Designer, you will work with building and testing different ideas and prototypes within UX and UI with the aim of developing a fantastic product together with the team. Within UX you will focus on research and interaction design, analyzing behavior with the help of data to validate assumptions. Within the interface design, you will work with maintaining and improving our matching algorithm, and translating the SLOVE brand into product design. To do this, you will work closely with data, product strategy, tech, and growth. Eye for details and understand the UX / UI design translates to a real-time data flow to make the platform better with data.
You’ll participate in the verification involving artists (musicians) & businesses (venues, promoters, etc), in collaboration with our User Researchers. There is also an opportunity to involve consumers who love music, attend concerts, etc. However the focus on consumers is limited during the BETA launch phase.
Responsibilities
Be involved in all stages of the design process within projects; from research, workshops, idea generation, concepts to prototypes and delivery of design
Create interaction design through customer journeys, sketches, wireframes and prototypes based on insights
Build long-term relationships with our customers and discover future opportunities
Use creative tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma and a whole host of other tools
Have an active role in identifying product challenges and shaping the functionality and the look of SLOVE
Creating user journeys and design flows
Design a responsive website that mathches the user flows in mobile app
Create methodologies and procedures needed to support various steps of the product management process, i.e;
Customer discovery - Build a database of customers and on-board them to the app (Website) or get an Letter of Intent (LOI) (if the product is not developed yet)
Product discovery
Ideation
Co-creation and ideation
Hand off design ideas and prototypes to developers in a clear and efficient way
Collect and utilize user feedback for continuous improvements of the product
Skills
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems on regular basis
Help in marketing with graphic design challenges when necessary
Experience in designing wireframes, user flows, and user interfaces using Figma/Sketch/XD
Experience in working with UX design, related to websites or digital products
Experience in conducting UX research and user interviews and ability to present relevant findings and conclusions. Translate the findings into the product.
An understanding of user behavior and best practices relating to web and mobile experiences
Experience and/or interest in user interface design
Experience in working in teams with other designers, developers, and product owners
You have knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS is a plus
