(Student) Assistant in Diversity Factor

Salary DKK 150 - DKK 150

It is not about securing a seat at the table but designing a brand-new table. At Diversity Factor, we view diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as a journey in society and business. We are not about hauling businesses kicking and screaming into the world of DEI, but instead, we are there for the ones, who have had that penny-dropping moment that DEI is not there to scare them, but instead liberate and future-proof their organisation. If you want to join that journey, Diversity Factor is looking for a (Student) Assistant who hopefully will become a full-time consultant (after graduation).

The Position

As our (Student) Assistant, you will be part of a small team with big ambitions that work tirelessly every day to make a significant impact for our clients, creating inclusive and equitable working environments where everyone thrives - and not just gender diversity. You will help us create tailor-made solutions that meet different needs in various industries. You will help drive projects and develop initiatives that effectively impact how organisations perceive diversity and how they implement interventions that aim to include current and future employees. Among other things, your primary focus will be:

  • Being hands-on with our project development for clients

  • Helping drive data analysis

  • Helping develop workshops, training and strategic recommendations for clients

  • Pitching in on day-to-day activities

This is a hands-on position in a start-up consultancy firm that will allow you to impact our team and organisations globally. The more responsibility you want, the more you get.

However, here are some clear expectations and limitations

  • The job is 15-20 hours per week.

  • 150 kroner per hour under Danish labour legislation (holiday etc.)

  • There is no timeframe on the (student) assistant position. The timeframe is based on your competencies and time.

  • This is not a part-time consultancy job.

  • A full-time position may be offered after graduation if you are currently a student. However, this is based on your competencies with the tasks listed above.

  • If you are part of the current workforce, a full-time position may be offered down the line. However, this is based on your competencies with the tasks listed above.

Qualifications

We don’t ask for that much. You have to want to work with DEI. However, we must tell you upfront that DEI work - also as a consultant - can be uncomfortable, and we view it as a hardship position, especially if you have several minority intersections. So think hard about it before you apply. However, we value that you have an educational background (from, e.g. bachelor level) within human resources, DEI, social sciences, business or another relevant degree.

Prior experience with Diversity and Inclusion is an advantage, especially if you can showcase results - but it is not a requirement. There will be on-the-job training, and eagerness to learn is essential.

The role is based in our office in Christianshavn, Copenhagen. However, you can work from wherever and whenever, just as long as you meet our client deadlines. Our working language is English, and we expect you to be able to communicate in English. However, please note that sometimes we slip and talk Danish.

The Process

Anonymise your CV (aka remove picture, name, age, zip code and so forth) and write a short profile on who you are in your CV.

If we call you in for an interview, Veronica and Jessica will conduct the first interview on Zoom, where your camera will be turned off. Hereafter, we will give you a short case to work on (no more than 2-3 hours), and then Helene will conduct a second interview on Zoom with your camera turned off.

The application deadline is 10 February 2023.
