Senior Platform Engineer

Role 

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team, working from our office in Copenhagen, for our team in Budapest or remotely. To help us develop and maintain the Board Support Package (BSP), networking and management software that constitute a firmware running on our devices. The Senior Platform Engineer will be part of the Firmware team working closely with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the success of our product.

Accountabilities

• Participate in delivering the next generation of Airtame products. You will help with the new device bring-up, run the upstream Linux Kernel, contribute to the existing code by adding support (both in C and C++) for the new HW and help with scoping this project to ensure it is being delivered on time.

• Understand, support, and improve firmware that runs on current Airtame devices. This includes working with bootloaders, Linux Kernel drivers, third-party user-space 

• Provide input to internal architecture discussions and decisions.

• Provide support, guidance and coaching to more junior members of the team by participating in onboarding, training, code reviews and walkthroughs.

You will be:

Able to articulate and clearly convey the scopes of the problems by identifying key issues and provide input to stakeholders. 

Your colleagues think you are a good team player that works towards common goals and you collaborate smoothly with engineers from multidisciplinary and remote teams.

You will have: 

• Good experience working in embedded development.

• Knowledge of C or C++, or a desire to learn a new language.

• Experience developing software for Linux-based platforms.

• Experience working in multi-threaded environments  (POSIX threads, C++ threads).

• Solid Linux administration skills.

• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals.

Nice to have but not essential:

• Experience working with  C11/C++17 

• Experience working with systemd services

• Experience working with Linux Kernel Drivers

• Experience working with NXP i.MX6 SoC + Intel e3950 + Broadcom BCM2711"

• Experience working with Wi-Fi 802.11

• Experience working with hardware design

• Experience working with YAML, GitLab
