 Join our team as a QA Intern.

About the Role

As a QA Automation Engineer Intern at WasteHero, you will have an essential role in bringing our Platform, CRM portal & Navigation App products to the next level of performance. You will be able to challenge yourself by writing Cypress scripts to automate the various integration and functional test cases. Besides writing new scripts, you will also be responsible for running as well as maintaining existing automated scripts and enhancing our testing framework.

You will:

• Work independently with your own responsibilities

• Work with a small team of software engineers and QAs to design, develop and launch processes and test mechanics.

• Create and maintain Cypress Scripts

• Set your mark on products and new launches - your projects are your responsibility.

• Make Jira Tasks

• Report bugs

• Write Documentation

Requirements

• You are currently looking for an internship and you are enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree program either in Computer science or a similar education

• Excellent communication and writing skills in English

• You are self-motivated and able to work independently

• Be proactive and able to think outside the current processes

Bonus skills and experience:

• Understanding of basic software development practices (Agile / Scrum)

• Previous work experience in a similar student worker role

• Experienced with unit-testing and end-to-end testing

About you

• A curious mindset, eagerness to learn and be challenged, and enthusiasm about joining a Scale-Up where freedom and responsibility are valued

• A strong technical sense, and a methodical work approach

• You have a fail fast/test approach and are willing to make mistakes as part of a learning process

• Fluent in English and can communicate technical information, both spoken and written

What you need to know

The internship is unpaid and full-time to fit your University's requirements. The internship runs for five to six months, depending on your needs.

The start date is flexible and can be arranged to fall on the 1st of January, February or March.
