Volt is a dynamic company with a core office of 4-7 people, 10 festival coordinators, 100 team leaders, and +700 volunteers over the festival season. Volt is widely known for the power bank charging service but in reality, we’re supplying a range of other services on behalf of festivals and other brands.
The position
We’re looking for a finance colleague. It is a student position averaging at 15 hours a week. We are a small and social team that are highly driven by the success we can create together.
Within Volt you will deal with daily financial operations as well as shaping the financial procedures to the continued business development. You will help with forecasting events budgets, making sense of the aggregate numbers and build our new business cases. Together we will automate the bookkeeping processes as much as possible and through this you will deliver monthly financial reports.
The ownership circle in Volt has start-ups (e.g Preo) and holding companies thus you will be working with inter-company finances, as well.
You will be working together with the entire team to align the financial process and will be reporting to the CEO.
The tasks:
Streamline and maintain bookkeeping processes.
Run monthly salaries (together with HR) and report VAT quarterly (Approved by CEO) across 3-4 smaller companies.
Participate in project budgeting, align budgets with monthly reporting and prepare financial forecasts for board meetings.
Help the operations department build business cases on new opportunities
Assist in building dynamic financial models for investor pitches.
You..
Are a student in finance, accounting, economics or something similar with at least 6 months left of your studies.
Have a solid understanding of management accounting and reporting.
Love working with numbers and have great analytical skills.
Are an Excel super-user.
Can calculate and interpret any key financial measures.
Are detail-oriented but able to maintain the big overview.
Are organised, self-driven, curious and highly proactive.
Speak and write fluently in English.
Thrive in a small team and are not afraid to question the current procedures.
