Meet Aatos, an award-winning (top 3 best online services @ Grand One 2021) and industry-disrupting legal tech startup. We solve the boring but important legal problems everyone face in their life, with technology. We are operating in three different countries with close to 100k users already.

We are looking for an individual who knows what it means to have a modern tech stack and how to utilize it to the fullest. We embrace learning together and as a small team, everyone gets to know a bit of everything. We hope that you would be a generalist in a sense that you are comfortable working with a broad range of topics across the stack but we also hope that you bring some speciality on to the table about something you know and are passionate about.

Things you’ll do at Aatos

• Implement new products together with service designers and lawyers, and find ways to turn legal jargon into an intuitive web service

• Solve complex problems to make customers’ life easier. For example use a genetic algorithm to solve fair distribution problems in the scope of dividing assets in a divorce or inheritance in an estate.

• Wrap your head around complexity on how different legislations affect various life situations in different markets, and build scalable data models, components and architecture that can handle the complexity now and in the future

• Indulge yourself in a world of cryptography and PDF standards when developing our in-house developed eSign platform

• Create blazing fast and SEO friendly landing pages and articles with Gatsby, Plasmic and Strapi (actually the pages are created by marketing specialists and content creators, you’ll just create the needed tools for them to be able to achieve this)

• Use and expand the React implementation of our design system (built using Tailwind CSS and Storybook) and migrate away from Ant Design

• Involve yourself into the world of SEO and learn how to make search engines love your product by diving into our home-brewed SEO tooling and NLP solutions

• Go bug hunting based on Sentry errors, CloudWatch logs and customer support cases

• Write unit tests so that bugs won’t happen again and use Playwright for easy creation of end-to-end tests to detect regression

• Integrate various APIs to to our product to make using of our products feel like a nice stroll in a park where all the different birds sing to create a harmonic symphony

• Write lambda functions to handle and alter data in DynamoDB and S3 and avoid using the 500+ reserved DynamoDb keywords… Wait! No need to fear reserved keywords as we have our own middleware for that!

• Speedup our CI/CD pipelines to make development experience as smooth as possible

• Be critical towards our current code base and implementations and improve things where needed

• Use data to find out potential bottlenecks in our service and create A/B-tests to improve those

• Help us to even better utilize AWS services where applicable
