About Sparrowhawk Systems

Sparrowhawk Systems is a newly formed SaaS company. We have spent two years to develop one of the best q-com platforms that has been the core technology of a well-known B2C startup (voted Top 10 upcoming startups in Sweden in 2021/2022). Due to the platform’s popularity, Sparrowhawk will now further develop the platform and aims to license our end-to-end solution to additional companies (startups/scaleups/enterprises/NGOs etc). We are now on the lookout for a hands-on CTO to take this award-winning platform to the next level together with a small but dedicated team of developers and focus on rapid growth and scaling.

Job Description

• Help the team with feature development and maintenance across Sparrowhawk's arsenal of services.

• Lead the discussion and planning of new features.

• Build a smooth and beautiful experience on the Sparrowhawk app for our clients´users.

• Closely collaborate with other teams to deliver value to the end-user.

• Take ownership over the fullstack platform by adapting and experimenting with new technologies.

• Contribute to scaling up the tech team and bringing great talents onboard by conducting interviews and code pairing sessions.

Qualifications

• A can-do mentality where nothing is impossible

• Experience building scalable and reliable large-scale applications.

• 3-5 years commercial experience with node.js and React Native.

• Experience with Typescript, PostgreSQL and Prisma.

• Rigor in high code quality, unit testing and integration testing.

• Proficient applying best practice Design patterns and Design principles when building your software.

• Open-minded personality, comfortable working in an Agile environment and making decisions in a collaborative way with the team.

• Fluent English communication skills.

• You are comfortable with leading teams and developing skill-sets of junior developers

A big plus

• Experience using cloud provider platforms such as AWS.

• Familiar with design programs such as Figma.

• Comfortable using common monitoring tools such as sentry.

• Experience within data engineering.

• You have experience from logistics, e-com, q-com, ride-hailing or e-scooter industry.
