Join our team as a QA Automation Engineer Intern.
About the Role
As a QA Automation Engineer Intern at WasteHero, you will have an essential role in bringing our IoT Smart Bin Sensor products to the next level of performance.
You will be able to challenge yourself by writing Python scripts to automate the various integration and functional test cases. Besides writing new scripts, you will also be responsible for running as well as maintaining existing automated scripts and enhancing our testing framework.
Work independently with your own responsibilities
Work closely with embedded software and hardware engineers
Maintain our IoT Smart Bin Sensor (WasteHero Fill-Level Sensor)
Set your mark on products and new launches - your projects are your responsibility.
To be a good fit for this role, you should enjoy working with automated testing and quality assurance of low-power wireless solutions. Your responsibilities will be:
Maintain and optimize Continuous Integration framework, using Jenkins
Design and write various automated tests, using Pytest and LabGrid
Debugging and error searching on sensor firmware
Manual testing of features
Monitoring of test and operational states
You are a curious, self-motivated and communicative person who has a strong desire to learn and is ready to join a scale-up with few formal procedures and limits.
Studying or have studied a Software engineer/developer, Data Science, electrical engineer study or similar background
Well-experienced in Python coding language
Basic understanding of C coding language
Attention to detail
Interested in IoT, low-power technologies and wireless communication
It will be an advantage if you have basic electrical/hardware understanding - knows how to read a schematic and datasheets
It will be an advantage if you know how to use an oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer and similar equipment

What you need to know
The internship is unpaid and full-time to fit with your University's requirements. The internship runs for five to six months, depending on your needs.
The start date is flexible and can be arranged to fall on the 1st of January, February or March.
