Are you fluent in Japanese? We are looking for a talented analyst for Sustainia's advisory team focused on Japan. As an intern (Analyst) at Sustainia, you will be part of an ambitious workplace that specialises in strategic consulting and fact-based storytelling for sustainable organisations. We work for private and public organisations with global ambition.
Analysis and consulting ... or marketing and communication:
We advise clients on ESG, systemic behaviour, sustainable technology, and creative communications. Every day we distill complexity and solve problems for clients through analysis and strategic communication. You will participate in various projects that often involve research into sustainable solutions and trends, writing assignments for our publications and online platform, project scoping, idea generation and a variety of ad hoc assignments which are typically a mix of research and communication.
About you:
The internship is open to people who are currently enrolled in a master's degree - or recent graduates with similar experience. Your academic background must be based on sustainability, and you must have strong competencies in research, written production and communication. Employees have educational backgrounds from Oxford, Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Copenhagen Business School, University of Copenhagen, Aalborg University, Geneva University, and others.
We are interested in people who are independent, possess the wit and mind and the ability to take initiative and deliver results. You also need to be flexible and open to new challenges.
Beyond your Japanese language skills you must master the English language verbally and in writing.
Start and scholarship:
With us, both remote and a place in the office in Copenhagen is an option, so please state your preference. Start date is per agreement and we are open for internships lasting 4 to 6 months and four to five days a week. We provide a scholarship of DKK 3,000 monthly (b-income) and if you are with us five days a week, you can take a monthly day off. Work is flexible though, and we are prepared to offer time off in peak times on an individual basis.
After you apply:
We often get quite many applications, but read them all, so it may take some time before we return. If we see a match, we will invite you to a written research and writing assignment (in English), followed by an interview before we make a final selection and return with an offer.
We typically have several analysts, and have parallel recruitment processes, so feel free to apply immediately.
Tips for your application:
Instead of spending energy on telling that you are a fan of sustainability, rather spend more space on:
what types of tasks you would love to work on (visit our site for a glimpse of what we work on),
what kind of experience you have with sustainability, systemic change or digitalisation,
whether you have particularly good knowledge of one or more industries (e.g. finance, food & agriculture, health, energy, mobility, real estate etc.),
whether you have experience with digital tools (e.g. for project management or marketing),
what parts of your LinkedIn profile you are most proud of.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
