This role is a hybrid between an SDR and a BDR role. In this role, you will support our sales managers/account executives giving you the opportunity to learn from international sales professionals. Your main tasks include outbound prospecting activities, i.e. gathering market intelligence, finding relevant prospective customers, contacting and qualifying them. A key objective is to book meetings for Utopia sales managers. Your tasks may also include looking for suitable events, evaluating sales tools, coordinating virtual events and working closely with marketing, and various administrative tasks related to sales. You will be a valuable member of the high-performing sales team. You will receive weekly support, feedback and sparring to maximise your potential and success in your work.
You are an enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated person; good listener, smart and can think on your feet; possess great verbal argumentation skills, organized, persistent and efficient. Above all, you are a creative problem solver, have a positive outlook, get things done, and are driven by results. When you get knocked down, you learn and move on.
Caution: This is a highly demanding role that is not suited for everyone. We are here to achieve a hockey stick like sales curve. We expect a lot from ourselves and from each other, and that includes you. If you are willing to work hard, you will have a chance to learn fast, and if you deliver results, you will receive support and coaching to progress to a more senior sales role.
Previous experience: It’s great if you have a few years of experience in a sales support/sales coordination/SDR role, and even better if you can show demonstrable results in outbound prospecting/sales.
Education: This role is ideal for someone with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, or a technical major with a business minor.
Language skills: Fluent spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement; Other languages are a bonus.
