Marketing and Business Development (Internship)

Salary Competitive

Are you a student within business, marketing, or communication with excellent social skills? We want you to become part of ‘An Army for Mental Fitness’ and help us grow Upotential to the next level!

For the fall of 2023, we are opening our doors for interns with a passion for mental fitness, personal development, and mental health, who want to inspire young adults from all over the world to proactively train their mental skills, while also gaining experience from working with business development, sales, and marketing.

Upotential is a growing company working to make proactive mental fitness training social, accessible, and affordable to everyone who wants to prepare themselves for challenges and opportunities in business and life. In the near future, we believe it will be given to proactively train your mental skills, just like you train your body physically. By joining Upotential you will be part of building the first gym for mental fitness in the world targeting young adults.

We are (physically) located at A-House, Östermalmsgatan 26A, Stockholm, Sweden.

The Role

Our main mission during 2023/2024 is to spread the word around the benefits of mental fitness training. We want to build a brand that stands out in the mental wellbeing industry using elements from other industries such as sport, fashion, and pop culture.

As part of ‘An Army for Mental Fitness’, you will help Upotential grow. We expect you to share your ideas, be part of the business development process, and co-create and launch marketing campaigns together with the other interns and the team of Upotential.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven, curious, and flexible person with a positive energy who loves to be in the forefront of new trends. You also like to connect with other humans and get inspired by being in a context where you learn and develop together with other people.

Responsibilities

The role will include tasks such as:

  • Participate in the business development process

  • Co-create workouts with relevant topics

  • Co-create and launch marketing campaigns

Requirements

We believe you to be a student of higher education within the fields of business, marketing, and/or communication - with the ambition of doing a part-time internship during the fall of 2023. We expect you to work 8 hours/week.

Apply if you have:

  • A passion for mental fitness, personal development, and mental health

  • An ability to execute projects from beginning to end

  • An interest in developing your mental skills

Even more interesting if you have experience from the following:

  • Sales and marketing activities

  • Social media marketing

  • Creating social and networking events

The internship will start in September 2023 and continue for 3-6 months. If you perform well and we like each other, there may be opportunities for a long-term partnership afterward.

We look forward to getting to know you, hear more about what you can bring to Upotential and what you hope to gain from this internship!

Upotential - The Gym for Mental Fitness®

Upotential is a place where you train your mental skills to improve performance and mental wellbeing together with other people from all over the world. Upotential was founded 2019 in Sweden by Marianne 'Maja' Marescotti, a former elite tennis player, and Catrin Eriksson, an Ironman finisher. Maja and Catrin felt that something was off in the discussions around mental health. Instead of focusing on what can be done proactively to avoid mental health problems, too much focus had been put on reactive treatment. Why wasn't there an inspiring place for people who want to proactively train their mental skills to improve performance and mental well-being?! United by a clear vision to contribute to a healthier and more fun world to live in, the founders felt it was time to create a new solution and make mental fitness training social, accessible and affordable. The main idea behind the gym for mental fitness was to create a typical kind of gym, but instead of training your body, you would train your mental skills and work on everything it means to be human, such as discovering yourself, finding your passion points, going for your goals, and learning how to connect to yourself and others! The next addition to the team was Camilo Sáenz-Moncaelano, an expert with a PhD in Sport- & Performance Psychology. Together this trio has created a concept of science-based mental workouts designed to fit anyone who wants to develop and improve performance and mental wellbeing.
