Are you our new passionate developer?

You could hold a master’s, or you could be a self-taught developer with a passion for Web App development. The most important is that:

• you are interested in learning

• you're not afraid (and lazy) to read the documentation

• you deliver high-quality work that will cause happiness to other developers during code review

Apply as soon as possible if you have the following:

• Minimum 3-5 years of SQL experience, especially PostgreSQL

• Minimum 3-5 years of Javascript experience (At Carswip, we code in TypeScript)

• Experience with server configurations, especially in Linux environments

• These things shall not scare you:

  • OOP

  • Clean Coding

  • Code Review

  • Design Patterns

It would be a great advantage if you had:

• DevOps skills

• AWS experience

• Any level of frontend experience, especially with React

Your daily tasks are varying but are mainly:

• Development of new features and bug fixes for existing and new systems

• Code review, almost every day

• Documentation of the new features

• Participate in meetings

• Participate in testing

• Brainstorming 

We expect you to be fluent in English and to be able to come to the office and break the ice together with the team. Please note that in general, this is not a remote opportunity, we expect you to live in Denmark. If you speak Danish that's an advantage but not a requirement.

Details of the position:

Working at a startup means that the job has a lot of room for taking initiative and responsibility, and there is the opportunity for the right person to grow personally and professionally.

You will be in a small, 3-person developer team. Most of your time, you will work on the Node-PSQL-AWS-Typescript web application. Sometimes, the team will work on the improvements of the AWS infrastructure and sometimes you might need to fix bugs in a Python-based machine learning project. These are not the main products, but pillars for the main product, and sometimes the team has to improve them together.

Since the development team will consist of three people, the tasks are really colorful. We thrive on using the newest technologies, so even though you might have to work with multiple languages sometimes, none of them will be COBOL. :)

GitHub is our main tool for version control, and ClickUp is the tool for task management. We expect you to know the first one.

The company provides you with a computer with two screens, an adjustable desk and your choice of mouse and keyboard. Windows, macOS, or Linux --> It's your choice, but we are almost 100% Apple users in the office.

Our office hours are from 8-16 and it is flexible to a certain extent. When you need a special day because the ISP comes to you to dig up your garden and you have to be home, remote days are welcome.

While we take what we do seriously, we also like to enjoy our time at work, so we value the importance of relaxing, socializing, and having fun.
