Do you want to create products that makes life easier for teachers and increase their well-being?
Teacherspace is looking for a cofounding CTO on our mission to help teachers reach their potentials and thereby improving well-being and learning opportunities for children.
We have just received a state grant so the two current co-founders can work full time and we are raising an angel round.
Our vision is to improve teacher quality and retention with virtual mentoring.
We have all tried it. Having a teacher that you absolutely love. Someone you looked up to and who when she shone her light in your direction you felt visibly proud, and wanted to be like her. Maybe reading this will make you reminisce about what a difference she made for you. We want to help teachers reach their full potential and believe it can be learned with feedback, guidance and support.
To do that we need to build a great and user friendly way for teachers to get feedback that fits into their workflow and as part of that we will be building a great mobile and web app as well as community of teachers and mentors.
Being a teacher is exceptionally difficult and there is little time and opportunities to get feedback on what matters the most: what happens in your classroom every single lesson.
We are two curious and ambitious people who have more than 10 years of experience with education and the problems for teachers we want to solve and we have a clear vision of what we want to do.
We have raised money, worked in education and built teams and products before and we have seen the problem we want to solve up close. You should also know, that we are deeply passionate about making products that help teachers and we are in this for the long run.

In the perfect world, you are a great full-stack developer with UX experience who has also worked as a teacher, but less than perfect also works.
What matters the most is that you are excited about building something that will solve very real and big problems teachers face every day.
The value we want to create at Teacherspace will be created in close collaboration with teachers, so you should be curious about teachers and their lives and challenges.
You should get excited about the prospect of being part of the founding team and all the messy hands-on work that comes from that, as well as the long-term perspective of you setting the strategy and being responsible for a great remote engineering team.
We are based in Copenhagen but you can be based anywhere and we expect our team to be mostly remote.
Full-stack developer. You should be able to build out our MVP and make the architectural decisions to set us up for future growth as well as being excited to work on our web app and mobile app.
You have a passion for user experience and design.
You are a strategic thinker who thinks long-term.
You are a good recruiter or would like to become one.
You are a great manager and interested in becoming great at building and leading a remote team.
You are a good listener and good at giving feedback.
Startup experience is helpful but side projects or anything else you have been passionate about also works.

We expect you to first work with us on a small project to find out if we work well together and we expect to have funding around Q1 of 2023.
As a co-founder you will get a significant part of the equity. We are in this for the long run and just getting started and you will play a critical role, so you should see yourself as a co-founder of Teacherspace and be excited about the journey to help teachers become better.
We are looking for a partner to work with for many years to come, so we want to make sure that we are a good fit for you and vice versa. This is what we expect our process to look like.
An introductory call with Jesper to get to meet each other and talk about our vision.
A call to meet Frederik and talk about our roadmap.
If we get along and want to move forward we ask you to complete our cofounder questionnaire and share our answers as well.
